What the Hail!?!
We did experience an incredible series of storms yesterday, and many don't realize how devastating hail can be...it's not just the tornadoes that wreak havoc. Great information on the American Red Cross and how everyone can pitch in and help!
Tornadoes were not the only factor contributing to devastating damage across the Dallas and Forth Worth areas that include many counties in and around the North Texas corridor yesterday. If you have never been in a hail storm, it's hard to imagine when the news is stating "tennis and baseball size hail". Imagine rock hard balls of ice hurtling down on your home, vehicles, etc... that look like these in Forney, TX:
Needless to say, OUCH!
The American Red Cross is working in all of the areas affected and helping displaced persons to find temporary shelter as so many homes, apartments and businesses were severely damaged and/or simply blown away in the storms.
