I posted a picture earlier of my husband, Drew, doing the Nevis Bungy Jump while we were traveling overseas. At 134 meters (approximately 440 ft), it's the highest bungee jump in NZ. I'll put it this way...the cart ride out to the platform he eventually jumped from was enough to make me almost wet my pants. So I opted out on this one and went for a smaller, more first timer friendly 80 meter bungee jump. We jumped off bridges, did 300 foot high canyon swings, and hurled ourselves out of a plane at 15000 ft. Basically, we had the time of our lives! Some asked if I video taped his leap of craziness so I thought I'd share. Don't mind the inappropriate commentary by the crazy gal at the end : )

I believe I heard "Holy cowpie Batman!" That looked like it was a lot of fun. Don't forget to try gliders...they are a hoot...one quick pointer on them...before you book...ask how much the pilot weighs...I did not do that and two fat guys in a glider does not glide near as far as one with a one fat guy and one skinny guy....

Not this ole Realtor® :) I'm sure it was a hoot and something neither of you will ever forget but I'm not jumping. Now I'll parachute but not bungee jumping.

Hi Margie - I have trouble standing on a chair, so no, thanks. And it looks like your husband isn't the only one who is crazy - but that's how you have unforgettable experiences.

Mike- When we went sky diving, being first timers we had to jump with someone. The guy Drew jumped with was like 6'5". The person that I jumped with was abuot 4'7". I'm not joking. She walked up and introduced herself and before I knew what was coming out of my mouth I said, "YOU'RE supposed to save my life if something goes wrong up there!?" I don't think it was the first time she'd heard that as she wasn't offended at all. She had almost 5,000 jumps under her belt!!!

John- I said the same thing for months prior to. Something about being in the town made me want to take part in the fun. I was scared to death with each thing we did but I don't regret a single second of it!

Dick- Having a fear of heights, sky diving was actually the easiest of the things we did. I think it has something to do with the fact that my mind wasn't seeing the ground as a threat because it was so far away. Standing on the edge of the bridge I was completely able to comprehend it. So if you ever feel the need to get crazy, I'd go sky diving if I were you!

There is nothing about this that looks appealing. I'll get my thrills with my head on the top of my body, not underneath. But.....good for you.

Nancy- It was a little difficult to remember that if there was video involved, our parents would inevitably be watching. Tried my best to keep it in check : )
Roy- This particular day life was good to me staying on top of the platform!
Janis- Unbelievable place. The North and the South islands have characteristics that make them both worth visiting. Milford Sound is something you need to put on the agenda if you ever find yourself over there.
Tammy- Exactly! Wasn't me either! Not on this jump.
Karen- I can completely understand. Funny that pulling into Queenstown I swore I wouldn't do anything. I guess it was the vibe of the entire town or something because I quickly changed my mind. But that doesn't mean it didn't scare the begeezus out of me!
