Easter holiday is at the beginning of the month, there are still a few colleges left to have Spring Break, and things are still happenin' every day!
I was on the island earlier today and there is all sorts of activity there...people at the beach, shopping, jogging, playing at the community pool...just generally having fun. There is not quite as much traffic back up as a couple of weeks ago, but still plenty happening so be prepared with an extra dose of patience if you're travelling on/off the island or making your way down Estero Blvd.
Visit the Lani Kai in the afternoon and you'll find music, MC with activities for adults and kids, food, fun and of course the beautiful Fort Myers Beach. Not familiar with the Lani Kai? Just look for the big green hotel just south of Times Square, about 7 stories high, and you're there!

Taste of the Beach and Business Expo

For seventeen years the Taste of the Beach has been a Fort Myers Beach tradition tempting taste buds with scrumptious samples of the best cuisine that Ft. Myers Beach restaurants have to offer.
Last year the Taste featured everything from baby back ribs to sushi, and this year promises to be even more varied and delicious with Fort Myers Beach restaurants serving up a smorgasbord of culinary delights and competing for your votes in the Food Competition.
There will also be beverage vendors on hand serving water, soda and ice cold beer.Taste of the Beach will be taking place at Bay Oaks Recreation Center in one of Fort Myers Beach’s loveliest natural areas.
A very special concert is planned from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Don't forget to visit the Business Expo, which will showcase the products and services of Fort Myers Beach businesses. The Business Expo will be held in the air-conditioned main building of Bay Oaks Recreation Center.
