Jo, what I see is that you grasp the idea of bringing them to the beginning edge of their (the Buyers) imagination without direction.  This allows the finishing touches to be brought out in the minds eye.  Fabulous!

Jo- staging the room with the all of those wonderful French doors was right on.  A buyer might have wondered what would fit and how to use the space.  I love the story you told.

Very nice work, Jo!  That dining room/sitting area would be a challenge for prospective buyers to envision without your staging.

Jo - Love those two wicker chairs off the dining area.  I can just imagine having a quiet moment, cup of tea and reading the paper.  All the rooms look so much like home now - warm and welcoming.  Lovely.

Beautiful house to begin with but you need a terrific job making it sparkle. I was particularly impressed that you made the drapes in the family really work. I would have been hesitant about them.

I agree that a unless the house really needs a specific style, transitional is the way to go. If a potential buyer prefers traditional those pieces will stand out to them and they'll easily imagine their favorite pieces fiting right in and the same can be said for a buyer that prefers a more modern approach.
