5 Things I Love About Living in Upper Marlboro, Maryland
Upper Marlboro, MD has lots of wonderful features that would make it appealing to buyers. Below is a list of some of the many wonderful things that make me love living here in Upper Marlboro, MD.
There are many things I love about living in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, but the top 5 things I love the most that comes to my mind at this time are visits to Watkins Park, the Luxury Homes Communities, the Mount Airy Mansion, Evangel Catheral and Barack Obama Elementary School.
Spending time at Watkins Park is liberating. This is where I run, walk, meditate and enjoy nature. The park has something for the whole family to enjoy - the Chesapeake Carousel, the Miniature Train, Miniature Golf, Maryland Farm, the Nature Center, the Tennis Bubble, Camping and so much more.
I enjoy visiting the luxury homes communities during my spare time which is very limited. The Hamptons at Woodmore just off Route 214 and Church Road is one of the largest luxury homes communities in Prince Georges County. These large luxury estate homes sit on 1 to 2 acre lots with over 3500 square feet of living space. My favorite model is the Tara model that's shown above.
If you are looking for a lovely serene place to hold your next social engagement, then you should visit the Mount Airy Mansion where you will experience the history and atmosphere of this glorious mansion.
There are many churches and worship centers in Upper Marlboro including my church Evangel Cathedral. Evangel Cathedral is a pioneering church - trailblazers in the body of Christ in the areas of Worship, Fine Arts, Music and Special Events. Photo courtesy of Marco Moreno Flores
Barack Obama Elementary School is my favorite elementary school. It's not because my daughter attends the school. It is because it's the first school in Prince Georges County named after our president. The school has an array of green features and it is equipped with low-flush toilets, motion sensors for classroom lighting, and underground water tanks which takes the place of boilers. Each sixth graders is given their own I-pad to use during the school year.
