Edgeio is up for Auction

Real Estate Agent with Dropping Plates Studio

I thought this was very interesting. Its a sneak peek behind the scenes of a major online listing web site. Edgeio is selling its assets off to the highest bidder. The information provided, to tempt potential buyers, was very revealing. Not everyone will find it as neato as I do, but If you have a moment, go take a look at what is required to run a site like that with respect to the assets involved. It may give you insight as to what these on-line listing companies are really providing you and why. The auction site is here.

I am responsible for SEO for my companies web sites. Edgeiois one site of many that I used through a company called ListHub. If you have not yet tried ListHub.netgo and check it out. You sign up for an account and give them your MLS code. They will automatically feed your listings to many sites at once. Best of all it is FREE. You can upgrade your account, which allows for click tracking and provides you with reports.

List hub automaticaly exports your Listings to the following channels FREE:

  • Google Base
  • AOL Real Estate
  • Cyberhomes
  • Trulia
  • Homescape
  • Zillow
  • Yahoo Real Estate
  • edgeio
  • Vast
  • HotPads
  • Propsmart
  • Oodle.

So go grab a peek before its gone. There are site statistics, web systems explanations, and documents indicating the potential revanue to a would-be buyer.
