I Want to Know Your Name!
ActiveRain is the best of all places to network and make new friends, not to mention to increase business and get referrals. However I need to know your name. After well over a year in ActiveRain I am blessed to have friends across the country. I know their faces, I know their names and I know where they live and work. I feel like they know me too!
I like responding to their comments to my posts using their name! Yes, it sounds unfriendly to say "Hello XYZ Realty". I would rather say "Hello Sally, Rene, Kathy, Rob, Clint or Conrad." But you see, I don't know your name unless you have it come up under your picture when you comment. Oh, I can, and usually do, click on your profile to see what your name is so that I can call you by name. Sadly, I don't always have time and plan to come back, but you know how that goes. :-(
Whoever you are, I want to know your name, company and location. I want to get to know you, so please make it easier for this Texas blogger! It is not just Newbies that fail to do this but there are Rainers with tons of points who still do not have their name under their photo.
Just saying, I really do want to know your name. Go to your Profile and make changes so we can all get to know you better.
Go to "My Profile: Edit" in the First Name field put your whole name, Last Name field put type of work and where you are, Company put your company name.
ActiveRain is much like that old Cheers Bar where we feel comfortable and everyone knows your names!
