Water under the water heater - NOT good news!
Ooops! Time for a new water heater. There isn't much of a reason for water to be UNDER a water heater except a leak.
On first look, I thought it was from the condensate drain next to the heater but the drain is lower than the floor and the stains indicate water is running down the control joint and then downhill into the drain.
Fortunately for this home owner, the water heater is still under warranty.
Erby, Not a sight anyone wants to see but it does happen. I've seen it more than once in my home. I'm always thankful I catch it at the leak stage. Water heaters have been known to cause a lot of damage to homes ... and result in insurance claims for water damage repairs.
