(not so) Speechless Sunday ~ Easter 4.8.12...                   Easter, a joyous time of the year for everyone. For some, it is a long weekend away from the ol' grind. For others, it's sunrise service and the celebration of the Resurrection.
     For old and young alike, it is a time for Easter baskets, Easter egg hunts and Easter bunnies. Belly aches of jelly beans, marshmallow chicks, and chocolate bunnies will be dancing in the eyes of the youngsters. Adults, will be inventing new recipes for hard boiled eggs for weeks to come.
     For me, Easter will be quality time spent with family and friends. This day comes but once a year and once a season. Take the time to enjoy all that life and this special day has to give.

Though we all grew up with the thought of eggs, and bunnies, it also is a pagan way to distract our thinking from the Cross. So I would caution is it more about the birth from an egg (God of Fertility) or the (Son of God)?
