It does my heart good when, once in a while, someone asks tentatively "would it be possible to go out and see homes for sale one day this week?" I sometimes think that we, as real estate agents, perpetuate the myth that we can only take clients out after 5 pm or at weekends and that we are available "24/7!"

Naturally I leap at those opportunities to work during "normal business hours" - I think I do a better job when I am not totally exhausted and that my buyers show true motivation in taking dedicated time off from their working lives to concentrate on the buying process.

I don't mind unless I have something really planned that I can't get out of. Though for a lot of Realtors they would disagree, but this is part of the job description. BTW, it hasn't changed at least in my almost 28 years.

I tend to show quite a lot of homes during business hours with clients who have different work schedules than 8-5. I love it, I'd prefer that to nights and weekends - though of course work those too. -Kasey
