Happy Easter, I realize it is a time to give thanks to Jesus for forgiving our sins, but I also want to give thanks to my family, because I love and miss them so much.
I am happily married with two beautiful children, but because of todays challenging market we are separated by the entire length of our small state, Delaware. Or about 90 + miles. My wife and son live up north where my wife has a full time job with my son, and I live down in the south end that is a resort and retirement area, known as Rehoboth Beach.
Our plans were to swop weekends and make the trip north one week to see her, then she would come down to see me on the even weeks, but my work gets in the way of that. You see, for the most part, my market is not effected by people who do not qualify for a mortgage like in northern Delaware. We get a lot of people looking for second homes and retiring in the beach area, which besides the city of Rehoboth Beach, we also have other beach towns to own a home in like Lewes, Bethany Beach, Fenwick Island, Millsboro, Milton, Ocean View and others. It is a great place to buy a home, a town home or a condo. It is also a great place to retire in.
For retires, we have extremely low property taxes, no sales tax, and half of the country's FIVE STAR BEACHES (2), meaning in all the United States, there are only 4 five star beaches, and we have two of them, Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach.
Crime down here is pretty much non-existant, the people no matter where they come from are extremely friendly, and we draw people from about a dozen or more states.
If
you are looking to buy a second home or buy a retirement home, I can not think of a better place than the
Delaware Beaches.
But back to being thankful. As a family, we celabrated yesterday together by having our Easter Dinner, we had recently lost our golden retriver who was the love of my wifes life, but my daughter who lives with me, went yesterday and got a rescue dog, 1 year old mix, he is a joy and my daughter Emily named him Riley.
My wife and son have already left to go home, so it will be a while before I see either of them and I miss them already, as I sit here typing.
So my wish to all that reads this is Happy Easter, be greatful for what you have, and enjoy not only today, but make everyday a joy!
