Bellagio Fountains

During our Spring Break we got a prime room location whcih gave us high unobstructed views of the famous Bellagio Fountains.

I was fortunate enough to see a special that aired on all that goes on behind the scenes to make this happen. The fountains dance and at night they use fires and lighting to further enhance the visual effects. At the finally the ring shoots to an impressive height exceedingwell over 100 feet. In fact they use 4 different nozzle types for the varying effects and here is the list of exactly how extreme the heights can reach...

Four types of nozzles are used for the various effects:

• Oarsmen – jets with a full range of spherical motion
• Shooters – shoot water upwards
• Super Shooters – send a water blast as high as 240 ft (73 m) in the air.
• Extreme Shooters – send a water blast as high as 460 ft in the air.
