Do You Share ActiveRain Comments With Your Clients?

Do you share ActiveRain comments with your clients?

When you advertise your home listings on AR do you share ActiveRain comments with your clients?

We email listing clients links to all marketing that their home is placed on so they can actually see and know I am working (hard) for them.  I’m not lazy and  just tossing one photo and a couple of sentences on the MLS and calling it good.  I am pushing their home as hard and as far online as possible.

As Realtors we know and do our best to educate our home sellers that today's home buyers search the world wide web long before ever making contact with a Realtor®.   Personally I  want home buyers to find my clients home everywhere they look!  In my long list of links I include my ActiveRain post with all your comments.  I find this is very impressive to my real estate clients to see that savvy, professional  and intelligent Realtors near and far are reading and responding to the blog on their home.  So my question is..... Do you share ActiveRain comments with your clients?

I send them a link to the post which does show the comments. One time I had a seller ask for a comment to be deleted. A member had made a tacky comment about the wallpaper. ☺ CONGRATULATIONS on the feature, Q!

John, I share not only the posts but the entire link with the comments. Some sellers appreciate it others just politely thank me... either way it is good.

irene Kennedy, my agent and then friend, introduced me to Active Rain.  Not only did I read her blogs but I also read many others here.

I've learned so much over the two years I've been following the blogs here.  So in my opinion it's a great idea to tell your clients about Active Rain.

It was a real eye opener into the world of real estate and how all of you work to help your buyers and sellers  with both hands tied behind your back (how can you target your market for a home when you can't say "great for a young family, retired couple, etc.!).

It can also be a great way for sellers to see that when you're telling them to lower their price to what their market will carry, that you are well supported by other professionals.  You want to help them to achieve their goal which is to sell their house.

While the house I had for sale is sold I'll keep on reading Active Rain.  Some of my favorites have been the inspector's blogs.  I have new found knowledge about recessed lighting, proper drainage away from my home and loads of other tips that will keep my home in excellent condition.

Keep up the excellent work!

It is a good idea to inform sellers about all the ways you are marketing their homes.

Hi John, Congrats on the feature! Yes I do share links and comments with clients when their listing is the focus of a blog or post. Sometimes I also share general posts and the resulting comments with clients when the subject matter is something we've talked about. It can often be good for clients to see/read third party comments about either their home or subjects that are hot buttons because it adds credibility to points I've tried to impress on them. Giving clients feedback from multiple sources helps them understand just how complex buying/selling real estate can be and helps them appreciate differing points of view that like it or not, do have an effect on how quickly a home sells. Any time a client has questions on a blog I've sent them it helps us communicate and understand each other's questions, concerns and points of view to a greater extent.

Hi Everyone!  What a treat to see this post go to a feature status.  I can see that most of us do indeed provide our clients the link to our AR blog regarding their listing.  I mean why not.  Were professionals supporting professionals and the comments are in good taste, well written and express good vibes on the not only the listing but the listing agent.   New listing clients need to feel warm and fuzzy during that early part of the relationship and feeding them the results of our marketing efforts is just smart.  Sure we provide them with dozens of other links to track so why not AR.  Thanks everyone for pitching in with your comments, your suggests and your kudos!  See you in The Rain!

I never thought about posing  a question on Activerain just to get answers from other agents that I could present to my buyers or sellers. But, I think I have a new plan of attack with those who won't budge on their opinion of what we do.
