Did you know that Post Falls, Idaho was founded way back in 1871 and by 1890 the population was 400. There has only been three 10 year periods where Post Falls had negative growth. Ten of the 10 year periods have had strong growth. 1990 to 2000 saw a huge jump in population of 135%. 2010 population was up to 27,541 (numbers are from census).
Along with population growth comes new businesses and Post Falls has done a great job of attracting companies to our community.
Some of the businesses now calling Post Falls home are in no particular order but are all major employers. Buck Knives, Wal-Mart, Sysco Foods, Cabela’s, ALK Source Materials/Biopol, Ground Force Manufacturing, and Kimball Office Furniture. We also have several large Medical facilities in PostFalls, such as: Kootenai Cancer Center, North West Specialty Hospital, and Surgical Bariatrics NorthWest.
