Three Goal Crushing Mistakes most of us make

Getting goals for yourself and your business each year is very important. Sometimes we make these mistakes in doing so and get discouraged.  Keep these three things in mind when setting goals;

1. Goals that are too specific. Goals help you focus your attention and this focus and be very powerful If the goal is too specific you not realize the smaller gains made along the way. they create blinders to important issues that appear unrelated to your goal.

2. Too many goals.  It is better to focus on fewer goals then many as most will not get accomplished if the numbers are to high. Three or four main goals, when they are reached and maintaining add a few more this process is better than starting with 10.

3. Inappropriate time frames. Daily goal(s), Weekly goal(s), monthly goal(s) and yearly Goal(s). Looking at where you would like to be in a year, breaking that down to each quarter then to each month will help you create smaller weekly and daily goals that are within reach and help you reach your benchmark of your year goal(s).

Best wishes.

Great post as I was making a list of things I wanted to do this morning. I felt I needed to be more focused on what I am doing. This will help me out. Have a great day!
