Where Is The Future Of Real Estate Heading To?

By
Industry Observer with No longer practicing real estate as of 2008.

Watch a PowerPoint presentation by Saul Klein, the new CEO of Point2, about where he thinks the future of real estate is heading to.  It is a long presentation and takes a few minutes to load, so be patient.  This is something you *need* to watch.  Everyone needs to watch it.

Are you ready for the future?  Or will you be left in the past like many of the agents that still think the "old fashioned" way of doing things will continue to work in the future and they don't need to adapt to new technology?

The good thing is that if you're reading this blog, then you've already got a head start above some.  Think about all the agents that don't even know what a blog is!  They probably won't last in the real estate business in years to come.

Watch the presentation and then ask yourself.....Am I ready for the future of real estate?  If you're not....then you either need to get movin' and learning, or get out of the way!

Becky, Thanks for the link. I downloaded it and watched. I feel really stupid for not getting into this sooner.

Bill, don't feel stupid at all.  We all had to start somewhere and at some time.  You're here and learning, right?  Some aren't even willing to try to do that much!  Keep learning and keep growing.  It will pay off for those that do later on down the road.  The others will be sitting there scratching their heads, saying "guess we should have listened to all those people."

I am still learning new things all the time.  I am amazed at what I have learned just in the past year alone.  I clearly remember John Mudd trying to explain to me what a blog was.  I'm like, a WHAT?  WTH is that for and why should I bother with it?  I'm so glad I listened to him!!

Hi Becky:  Thanks for the link, but I tried to view it, and it is in Powerpoint, which I do not have on my computer.  I will try and find someone else locally that has Powerpoint, and view it there.  Thanks fr sharing.

I can't get the link to download.  i will try it later.  Very good point for those who have been around.  If they do not embrace technology they will be dinosaurs in this industry.

Becky I'm a firm believer in forging ahead.  When I first sat in front of a computer I was afraid I would hurt it somehow and was surprised at how resiliant the thing was.  I'm from the other generation that slowly watched things change but far be it from me to flee. I love getting into the act.  I watched the video with much interest and agree with it entirely.  Thank you.  Ann of New Hampshire
