It is vital to find out as much as one can legally find out about a prospective tenant before handing them the keys to someone’s house or condo.
Without doing your "homework" ahead of time you can be setting yourself up for disaster. Credit checks, criminal background checks, and eviction checks are ALL important. Take the time to do them beforehand and it will pay off in the long run.
It is much easier to "evict" someone before you give them the keys to a property.
