In Honor or is it the privilege , to be Me Me'd. And my first at that.
My friend and fellow Home Stager Susan Smith from Rooms That Work has invited me to share tidbits from my life. She is a veteran blogger on AR where I have been a bit delinquent in contributing here in the past few months. The holidays just descend on us and life gets away from us all at once.
In the spirit of being MeMe'd, I now have to disclose 5 things about myself. Not being the type to loudly toot my own horn or having a very flamboyant type of a life, I hope this measures up in the eyes of Meme's past.
- I am a former Air Force wife with 3 wonderful children who have graced me with 8 beautiful Grandchildren. In the past 36 years, I have lived in seven states and Great Britain and had over 20 homes or apartments.
- While living in Las Vegas, my friends and I were on the off road racing circuit. I raced in several local races in the desert around Nevada. This also gave me the chance to learn mechanical abilities as I build Volkswagen engines and transmissions for racing.
- During a tour of duty in Great Britain I was the events coordinator for the American Girl Scouts in the 1970's when the children were little. We arranged share dates with the British Scouts, trips to London and France.
- I am Professional Home Stager in the Greater Hartford Connecticut. With over 8 months and many homes completed and sold I am looking forward to helping area Realtors and home sellers to sell in less time and for more money.
- In November, I was asked to be the first Chapter President on the American Society of Home Stager and Redesigners. This organization has been opened to all home stagers and redesigners regardless of previous training or other affiliations. Our goals are to band together for a positive voice in the education of and promotion of Home Staging as a necessity in Each and Every Home Sale. We need to educate Realtors and Brokers on the Corporate and Local levels about the need to hire a professional to handle the difficult job of making a home ready for sale and most important that this home be photographed and shown in its best light.
So there is part of my life in a nutshell. I thank you for your interest in a gal from Maine...
And now... tag you are it....Mary Lou Teague Knoxville Tn... Stephanie Stuber, Bridgeport CT... and Maria Petow
