As the owner of 3 rescue dogs, I am a big advocate of anything that benefits organizations that help people to find their new "forever friends" and help care for them before new homes are found here in the Austin and Highland Lakes areas.
Paws for A Cause - Charity Dog Walk - will take place on Sunday, April, 22nd from 10am-12pm at the Lady Bird
Lake Hike & Bike Trail. You get to walk your dog for about 1-1/2 hours at a slow pace, meet some new friends and raise money for Austin Pets Alive! Visit the website for more information and to register.
The photo to the right is our dog, Hershey when we first rescued him 8 years ago - he now weighs 110 lbs, but is the sweetest, gentlest giant.
