The Carlsbad Skatepark in Carlsbad CA

Like a number of Southern California communities, Carlsbad offers a skate (skateboard) park for enthusiasts to enjoy their sport and challenge themselves on curved and flat ramps, bowls, pyramids, and other terrains skateboarders enjoy. The Carlsbad Skatepark is ranked as being good for beginners.

The Carlsbad Skatepark, built in 2001, is a 10,500 SF facility and park (lighted) on the hills near the Safety Center. There are some great views up here, but no doubt skateboarders have other things on their mind besides views, except perhaps watching each other.

Here’s a list of other Southern California Skateparks. The San Diego area is well known for some of the best and most famous skateboarders in the business – Tony Hawk (Encinitas) and Olympian Shaun White (Carlsbad, also known for his snowboarding achievements).
