When the going gets tough, the tough get going and indeed, we have all heard that saying over and over again. Still, I hear a few complainers out there in the real estate community. Some of the folks in the nearby areas have complained that selling homes is so very difficult now? Well, that is silly to compare the height of the real estate bubble when you could not even keep a listing from selling within 36-hours to save your soul compared to the average time to sell a listing of 80 days or so here in the Palm Springs area. Eighty days is respectable, and 45-days is considered a good market, so from the bottom until now we are half way home here.
There is nothing wrong with a buyer's market, there is nothing wrong with working a little harder for your buyers or your sellers. Since when is anyone entitled to make money for doing little or no work to sell homes or participate as an agent in the real estate industry? At the top of the market anyone could be a hero, sell homes or move mountains, today, you have to work for it, just like before that bull real estate market. And, may I ask what's wrong with that?
There is certainly nothing abnormal going on here in Palm Springs. As a matter of fact things are moving around quite smoothly considering the rest of the greater Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Diego and Riverside Counties in Southern CA, that covers no less than nearly 700 square miles of concrete with over 17 million people. Indeed, we are quite fortunate to be in this isolated micro-economy, on the outskirts of the metropolis we can Southern Cal.
People move to Palm Springs, because it is a dream location, and nothing is going to keep them from their dream. When they have had enough of the smog, traffic, high-costs and stress, they will move to paradise of their own free will, on their own time table and no one is going to tell them otherwise. My clients tell me; "We're Ready!" and they mean it, my job is to help them find exactly what they are looking for. When someone lists a home with me, they know, that I will work hard, gather the facts, stage their home to niche buyers who know what they want.
Luckily, I know what they want, how they want it and that is why I consider myself a real estate consultant, expert and agent all-in-one. I am interested in working with serious buyers, serious sellers and networking on the Internet with serious professional and dedicated individuals like myself, who understand that; There is Nothing Wrong with A Buyer's Market!
