A Beautiful Day in Outer Parkside

Today was a good day to visit my new listing in Outer Parkside and put up a For Sale sign. Usually we have a company plant a post but in this case it is easier just to mount it on the front gate. I was halfway there and realized I didn't bring my camera.

2186 43rd Ave For Sale San Francisco But wait, I have my iPhone! I already have pictures, but today is a sunny day and the sun is in the right place for a better picture. The iPhone takes great quality photos at 3264 x 2448 pixels. And with iCloud they're waiting for me on my computer when I get home! How cool is that.

After I put up the sign I rang the doorbell and of course it was insisted that I come up and stay awhile. They're an elderly couple and this is hard on them. I love talking with them. The stories they tell and the history they've been through are fascinating to hear. I'm enjoying this.

On my way home I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the Pacific Ocean. Immediately I turned around and whipped out the iPhone. Viola! A beautiful Day in the Parkside.

Hope it is a quick sale. Iphones take great pictures and they are so easy to put on facebook or where ever. It was nice to have a sunny day, but I really enjoyed the thunder and lightening we had Thursday. Being a native Californian, having thunderstorms of that magnitude is a novelty.

Thank you Peggy, this elderly couple needs to sell in order to pay for the next step in their live - assisted living care at Atria. I'm hoping for the best for them.

Melissa, I'm still getting used to all that the iPhone can do. Today was just another test.

It is a beautiful place Jim. Even the West Side that most tourists never hear about. Especially on a nice sunny day!

Yesterday was a beautiful days. I should have taken pictures with my iphone too, but I was busy enjoying rare afternoon walks on the beach with my dogs, my partner Gary and my visiting brother. Wish I did because there were so many kite boarders on the beach, the sky was filled with colorful kites.

I like to know geography of where people are on localism activities. For those of us who don't know or remember San Francisco well, please consider telling us where Parkside is and how far that might be from the Bay Bridge, Union Square, Golden Gate Park, etc.

Joy, iPhone photos are only as good as the lighting. Exterior photos are fantastic! In terior photos need a flash. So then the camera is required.

Pacita, I'm just beginning to get used to the idea that i can take photos wherever I am. Totally new concept for me. Sometimes when I'm driving over the golden gate or some such place I wish I had something to just record the wonders I am looking at live! Thanks for the link to the app - I need to try it out.

Harrison, thanks for the comment. Parkside is on San Francisco's west side, by the Pacific Ocean. Below Golden Gate Park. It can be a very cold and foggy place when SF is in the fog, but on sunny days it can't be beat!
