A short and easy drive from Katy TX to San Antonio TX
Easter Sunday we drove from Katy TX to San Antonio TX as my wife is originally from San Antonio TX. The plan was to have Easter brunch in downtown, walk along the San Antonio Riverwalk, and visit my mother-in-law's grave site at Fort Sam Houston. Unfortunately my mother-in-law died of cancer after a long and courageous battle with this terrible disease in our home back in late 2009. Periodically my wife takes her dad to visit his wife's grave. Mt father-in-law lives with us even though he still owns a home in San Antonio. It is always a sad and somber time when we are Fort Sam Houston but we all feel like we accomplished something very important by making the visit.
I took my camera and took as many pictures as I could which ended when the cheap camera I own batteries gave out. Below are a few of my pictures:
My blogs and in person I tell everyone who is moving to the area that Katy TX has everything that one could want. Name something and I am positive I can find whatever it is in Katy TX or close by in Houston TX. Houston is only about 25-30 miles away from Katy depending on where one starts its journey. In addition a short and easy drive from Katy TX is San Antonio TX. We can easily make it to San Antonio in less than 3 hours and that includes a gas, coffee, snack and toilet break at our favorite gas station being Bucee's which is about 50 miles east of San Antonio. The entire hill country corridor ( Austin to San Antonio) is easy to get to from Katy TX and makes a great destination for weekend vacations.
If you are looking for houses for sale or rent in Katy TX call me and I will be happy to show you why Katy is such a great place to live.
