2008 Top 3 Resolution Tips!!

Hello and Happy Holidays to All!!

We are in the midst of the Holiday season.  That means after the presents are opened, the food & desserts are finished and the last of the toasts are made, Real Estate professionals and everyone else will be thinking of the New Year ahead.  In that tradition, here are a few thoughts to help us all have a healthy and happy 2008.

Resolution TIP Number 1)  Don't make a resolution you probably can't keep.  It is far better to have a smaller more attainable goal (spend one extra hour per week blogging to grow your business OR add one extra work-out or other activity each week or month) than to have a goal to triple last year's income or lose 50 pounds.  The BIG resolutions are the ones that usually crash and burn the quickest.  That just makes you feel too much pressure and should be avoided.  A select few WINS on the resolution front will provide momentum for the year ahead!

Resolution TIP Number 2)  Remember to write your goals down.  A goal is a dream with a deadline, make sure your written goals are in a place you see them often.  Also give yourself permission to alter these goals to account for unexpected success or hurdles.  The best laid plans are ones that are reviewed often and modified when appropriate.  Another great tip (provided by another Active Rain professional) is to tell a friend and/or share your goals with someone else.  This can make the resolutions you make feel more like a team effort and together, you can help each other through any ups or downs.

Resolution TIP Number 3) We all need balance in life.  A huge success in one area of your life will still leave you feeling disappointed if it comes at the expense of other things that are important to you.  After you have written down your goals (resolutions) in step 2, review to ensure that you have taken the "big picture" view.  Balance is another way of saying take good care of friends, family and business associates all while watching your own health and welfare.

Hopefully these few tips will provide a kick-start to a great new year!  Here is to the achievement of your own vision of success and happiness for 2008 and beyond.

Best wishes from Brad Kress and the ReStaged2Sell team at ReStaged2Sell@GMail.com

Bradley, great advice.  Every year, I always love setting goals and resolutions for the coming year.  Sometimes I achieve them, sometimes I don't. And it is good to have them written and in focus daily.  Happy Holidays!

Good advice. I would add to share these goals with someone. You are more likely to achieve them.

Good post and happy holiday to yoy\u.

I agree that goals should be established, but there also needs to be a plan to achieve those goals.

Have a wonderful holiday. Sharon

Good thoughts,  Brad.  My 'resolutions' or goals are part of my written business plan.  I review it every single day.  If nothing else, part of it should happen just through osmosis! Keep those good posts comin'!
