2012 Relay For Life of Killeen/Fort Hood/Harker Heights TX to be held in Killeen Texas on /2012-5/5/2012
7:00PM - 7:00 AM at Shoemaker High School.
What Is Relay?
- Overnight relay-style event
- Teams of people camp out around a track
- Members of each team take turns walking around the track for the duration of the event
- Food, games and activities provide entertainment and I am participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life because I want to make a meaningful difference in the fight against cancer.
I have joined my ABWA (American Business Women's Association) for the Killeen/Ft. Hood/Harker Heights 2012 Relay for Life.
Almost everyone has been touched by cancer, either through their own personal battle or through someone they love.
Every day, the American Cancer Society is helping us stay well by preventing cancer or finding it at its earliest, most treatable stages. They assist families in finding the best resources to help their friend or loved one deal with a diagnosis and their journey to get well. The American Cancer Society is also rallying communities (like ours!) through events like Relay For Life, to fight back and find cures for this disease.
I walk in honor of my beautiful mother who lost her battle with lung cancer in 2007 at only 65 years of age.
