New assessments are out in St Joseph County, IN. Has your taxes gone up and would you like to know how to have them lowered? When you call the Assessor's office, they will let you know that you need to talk with a Real Estate Broker to have them prepare a Market Analysis for you.
What I'll do for you to have your assessment lowered is to do a Market Analysis on your home and it will give you a Market Value from last year's value which you can use if it's lower than their assessment to lower your tax bill. It's nice to add photos if your home is outdated or needs some repairs so you are compared to like homes similiar to yours and not updated homes where the values are higher. There's some research to be done but it can be done in a timely fashion to save you some money on your taxes. They have given you 45 days from the mailing to get this information into them to appeal your taxes.
