Earth Day

Although its sometimes hard to see underneath its gruff, post-industrial exterior, early Milwaukee officials gave great thought to our green spaces. Thanks to the foresight of men like Charles Whitnall, Milwaukee has an extensive infrastructure of park land. This year, why not pay tribute to the groups working to preserve our greenery, locally and otherwise, by participating in some Earth Day celebrations.

I've seen we have events all over town here as well, but I'm not going to get caught up in that and my family and I have decided to enjoy the day and take pictures and study the Earth instead.

I hope you had a good turnout for these activities, Kristin.  How neat that many of these gatherings were in parks for people to appreciate the environment around them!
