I am swinging back into my Prosperity Secrets theme from February, and wanted to start out with some practical tips that deal right with your finances.
I work with a lot of buyers and come to know their situation. Often people can't buy a home because of their credit, sometimes people are delayed in buying because they don't have money down.
I am reading the George S. Clason classic The Richest Man In Babylon. In there the prosperous character is teaching others eager to hear about how he became the richest man in the city by learning that A PART OF ALL YOU EARN IS YOURS TO KEEP.
For those of you doing this it may sound like a no brainer. However, working in this business, and having my own challenges in the past, I know this is not a simple concept more most. You want to PAY YOURSELF AT LEAST 10% of what your earn. You want to soon after have this money go to work for you! Financial talk show host Dave Ramsey would want you first to have 3-6 months in the bank for an emergency fund, but after that you want this money to be working for you.
IF your doing this great! See still if you can look through your budget and find more money that can go to work for you. If your not doing this, then sit down and look over your budget and see what you can do to start paying yourself. Having read this book before I know it goes into working out deals with your creditors so you can still pay yourself first even if your budget seems to be 100% accounted for by your bills.
Thus, it would be a great idea to pick up this book The Richest Man In Babylon or attend a financial course like Financial Peace University to help get you on track.
