What Makes a Panel Box Out of Date

By
Home Inspector with Home Inspection Carolina

Out of date panel boxThe panel box is out of date by today's standards.  You see this on home inspection reports all the time.  When this house was built in the 1950's this 100 Amp panel box was adequate.  At the time this house was built they didn't have central AC, a dishwasher, microwave, toaster ovens or stereos, surround sound or computers.  Tis house now has all these things but has the original 100 Amp box.  When many of these modern appliance are run at the same time it constantly flips the breaker.  We recommend that this panel is upgraded to a 200 Amp panel box to better accomodate the more modern appliances.

Home Inspection Carolina has been providing quality home inspections  in the Charlotte NC for years and now has added thermal infrared scanning to there list of services.  They provide home inspections and termite inspections in Charlotte NC, Monroe NC, Gastonia NC, Weddington NC, Lake Norman NC, Concord NC, Fort Mill SC and Rock Hill SC.  They also provide a free 90 day warranty and free recall check.  Home Inspection Carolina has 10 home inspectors and serves a 50 mile radius of Charlotte.  They have over a 100 years of combined home inspection.  Let them put their experience and skills to work for you.
