Looking forward to 2008 - What are your plans in this slow market?

This is the time of the year when I like to reflect on the year that has gone by. I like to learn form my mistakes and look ahead to the next year doing everything possible to make it an even bigger year than the one before.

This slow market that we are in forces us to be smart and creative about our business planning for the next year. With talk about this real estate "slow down" continuing for the next year or so, and even a hint of an economic downturn, the hard working real estate professionals will no doubt have to be more assertive, agressive, not to mention smart about our business planning. Real estate businesses are going out of business all over the country and yet we still need to forge ahead and get thru this together.

What are your plans for the upcoming year? Are you planning on "riding out" this  slow market that we are in or do you hit the ground running starting in January.

Home sellers will still need to sell and buyers still need to buy.

I'm going to ride out the slower times because the market will pop back and I want to be one of the ready and able Realtors!  I'm currently working a part time "Fun" job to help make ends meet. Good luck to you and Happy New Year.

Good point Christina. I hear of a lot of agents in my area picking up side jobs to "make ends meet" too.

Good luck to you too and Happy New Year.
