Bye Bye PICNIK, Hello ipiccy.com

I am very sad to see picnik leaving us. I for one, have been using it for years. I am currently trying out this new replacement for picnik, ipiccy.com and have to say, I am impressed. It's a great alternative, especially to those of us who do not like change.

Bye Bye Picnik and Hello ipiccy.com

Those of us who have used Picnik for photo editing are very sad to see it leaving.  It was a great format and very easy to use.

So, today, because of the advice of so many ActiveRainer's, I decided to try ipiccy.com.

Since I barely know how to turn on my computer (yes, I know, I really must get caught up with technology,) I'm always a little afraid to try new things.  If it takes more than a click or two, I'm usually lost.

Well, I really liked how EASY ipiccy.com is and this is my first try using their collage makers.

If you haven't tried ipiccy.com yet, go ahead and jump in.  If I can figure it out - anyone can!!!!!!

The only thing I didn't find was a place to input words - does anyone know how to do that?

Mona does all that stuff, but she has been exploring one called Pic Monkey and finds it very similar to Picnic.  And then just a few minutes ago, Brad Andersohn blogged about a new one he has found called Ribbet.com.  He says it looks and acts almost just like Picnic.  Go to his blog and catch the link for an invite to try it as soon as it is completely up.

Leslie - Thanks. I just went and registered for Ribbet. I have used Pic Monkey, but they haven't launched a whole lot of features just yet. No collage etc. Aviary is suppose to be good as well but I am not finding them all to user friendly. Picnik is however moving to Google + !

I miss picnic and really wish one these "replacements" would really replace it completely.

Thanks for the report, Melissa.  After our Scottsdale ActiveRain MeetUp, I was able to use this super easy site to display the photos AND found how easy it was to add words.

And, thanks for your head's up on Pic Monkey and on Aviary - they were suggested by others, if you like the ipiccy the best, you just saved me the time from checking out those other sites.
