How do people fit into your 2008 plans?
Yes, we all talk about income goals, weight loss goals, etc but did you write out your relationship goals?
Yes, for both business & personal?
As I look back onto 2007 I think about people. People I've met, people I might not have kept in contact with as closely as I'd have liked & people I've assisted or that have assisted me or my family in some way.
People are what life is all about. Relationships are truly what form us.
Possessions do not make us. Nor does what we know. What makes us is how we use what we have to build relationships. What we give & what we take from others for good.
Be it personal or professional, I value them all. Even those that last a short while all teach us something.
This past year I reconnected with a few friends I had lost touch with. I'm glad we were able to reconnect & I look forward to maintaining these relationships.
While real estate was kind of slow this year, I was still able to assist many customers with their buying & selling needs. Many of these folks will be my friends for numerous years to come. However we met it was great that we did & I look forward to the continued relationship.
At times it is easy to feel overwhelmed with keeping in touch with everyone but a 5-10 minute conversation to say hello & keep in touch with someone is all it takes.
In my 2008 business & personal plan I have set time aside to build upon these relationships.
I hope you have added this important healthy step to your plans as well.
One more thing, real estate is also about people, not land, houses or buildings.
