My wife, Sue, and I generally go out every other year for New Year's Eve - but, often, I feel like we are taking our lives into our own hands. We thank the Good Lord, and kiss the ground, after we return home safely.
The last few years here in Chicago, we have noticed many community-sponsored alcohol-gree, family-freindly New Year's Celebrations. Fireworks galore, provided food - good clean fun, and more attended every year.
