Mortgage Default Notices Increase in Florida

By
Real Estate Agent with Allison James Estates & Homes, Sarasota 941-957-3737

The amount of mortgage default notices sent to homeowners in Florida rose 33% in February 2012.  According to RealtyTrac, this is one of the highest increases nationally. In contrast, foreclosures in Sarasota, Manatee  and Charlotte County fell dramatically in February 2012, according to the Herald Tribune. While many think this decline is a monthlyn aberration, it is our hope that more and more homeowners in Sarasota and Southwest Florida are opting to short sale their property rather than undergo the foreclosure proceedings.

As short sale experts, we want to encourage all Florida homeowners facing foreclosure to learn your rights and options.  It is our passion to educate homeowners on the benefits of a short sale, and as a result, we have helped many prevent foreclosure with a short sale in Sarasota County, FL. If you or someone you know may be facing foreclosure in Florida, contact us today for a free 30-minute phone consultation.
