Ok, I know this is going to be another one of these posts that get allot of attention but here it goes, I found that there are several factors a Home Owner takes into account when choosing an agent to sell their home we all know the first one and the first thing a home owner wants to know "How Much Is Your Commission?" is always the first question, the second one would be "This is how much I want to get" (which is usually not inline with the market at the moment) and the third would be "How long is it going to take you to sell it?" Did I miss any? please let me know.
The one thing I never hear a home owner ask is hey did you win a bronze, silver or gold award last year? I have never heard that, I understand that its a symbol of achievement and it shows what you have accomplished and so on, I just don't think it has anything to do with how good of an agent you are.
I know several agents that do massive amounts of volume and they never even put in for an award, So I guess the question is this, Do you think Awards are as important today as they were 20-30 years ago, before the Internet age? and would you list your home with an Agent who wins a Silver of Gold award but has no online presence, and no marketing behind his listings? what is your opinion?
