Active Rain's Google-Juice is powerful stuff!

I went and visited Curt's Cafe today, along with several other agents from my office.

In conversation with Susie Trieschmann, the executive director, I told her that I would "blog" about the café.

A couple of the other agents also said they'd publicize the café as we really would like it to be successful. One agent said they'd put it in their newsletter... another said they'd put it in some e-mails to clients.

No sooner had we returned from the café than I was hot on Active Rain, blogging my little heart out.

I had barely posted the article more than 10 minutes ago, when one of the other agents approached me and asked... "Why is it when I Google 'Curt's Cafe,'" she asked "looking for information so that I can write e-mails to my clients, that YOU come up!"... I checked her computer and sure enough... searching in Evanston for Curt's Café, and dang if I'm not in the number two position on the first page of Google!

AR has the freshest and strongest Google juice out there. I hear AR members can turn into Hulk if they are not careful with it.

So cool! I get comments like that from friends, too. Like one who was looking for info on the local bowling alley for a field trip... My blog about it came up just after the actual website and mine offered more photos (important for the special needs kids she was taking). Gotta love that AR Google juice.
