How long does your blog hang around?

You post a blog and it hit's the net and how long is it there...At least 2 years from what I found out.

2 weeks ago, a friend sent me an E-Mail about how different people view your homes value.  It had 5 pictures from buyers, to sellers, to tax people...Ect.    I look and they were MY photo's and my working.  My name or anything associated with me was gone, but It was MINE.

I was a bit irked, but no real harm, done and not enough info to back track it.

Today, I got a call from a publishing company who found a blog I posted  2 YEARS ago about what I viewed success as.  The lady was very nice and said she was impressed with the writing. (I thought that was a first)

She asked my permission to re-publish it in her publication.  I was flattered to say the least and said sure, but, only if she would send me a copy of the publication.

She agreed.

So...how long does your blog stay in the blog sphere...Well, I know 2 years for sure!

Hi, Bill...I guess once you post it on the internet, it's there to stay. No matter how long. That is something we need to teach the young people of today. It's not like writing on a bathroom wall...you can't wash it off.

I don't believe it was any real big deal, but it does prove that these things get read for a long time.

Congratulations on the last part, but I am going to have an outside conversation about the photos used by other people with you later.

Bill, I've had someone contact me off of a post I wrote nearly two years prior.  Like you I've had publishers call asking permission to use photos...pretty cool when it happens.
