Your ATTITUDE matters!

Noemi is right on the money with this next blog1 I've seen this work so many times. Give a stranger a smile. If someone is impatient with you, Try apologizing and giving a smile instead of getting angry back. This takes practice, but once you make it a habit, being kind will get easier.

Love and light,

Laura

Over a century ago, William James said, "The greatest discovery of this generation is that a human being can alter their life by altering their attitude."

I believe this with all my heart, and over the years have seen it happen countless times. What most people fail to realize is that your attitude not only impacts your happiness and your success, it also  impact the happiness and success of all the people around you...your family, your friends, your peers at work, and even strangers that you meet throughout an uneventful day.

You don't need to believe me. Do your own experience...change your attitude and notice what happens with you and the people around you...smile when someone frown at you, say a happy 'goood mooorning...' , instead of the all too normal and expected 'how are you doing?', catch them by surprise and ask: 'Hello there..what was the best thing that happened to you today?', bring out the best in others and, as a side effect you will bring the best out in yourself.

Attitudes are truly contagious, and from time to time we need to ask ourselves..."is mine worth catching?"

Have a magnificent Friday!

That is great advice.  Lots of times we don't think about how how words can really change a tone and mood in someone else by saying something different and kind, versus the knee jers reaction that basically say, "I'm asking to just be polite but I don't really care and I don't want to know."

Laura and Carole,  I had a moment yesterday where a smile is what I needed.  I did not get it or give it ... 99% of the time I am most gracious even the worst of situations.  We are all subject to those times when we are not the best we can be for ourselves and others.  Attitude is everything!  The right attitude can cure the woes of the world.

Oddly enough I was just discussing this with someone else today.  You can choose to be positive if you really want to--it sure does make life a whole lot easier to live, doesn't it?!

Laura this is so true, attitude does matter.   A miserable person should  consider an attitude adjustment and see the difference.

Laura and Carole, I agree, our attitude is so important.  Second is how we read and respond to situations and other people.
