HELP! I Need Help with 2008 Resolutions

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Cape Cod and the Islands

Good Morning:

I have been asked to fill in as the co-host of a real estate talk show on a local radio station the Saturday before new years and I am trying to come up with some "Top 10 Lists" of resolutions for buyers, sellers, and Realtors. I'm sure that you have all been diligently working on your resolutions and I would welcome your ideas for Saturday's show. Special note: humor is always welcome.

One of my resolutions is to learn how to take better advantage of my participation in Active Rain.

Thanks in advance.

Steve,

What about something like:

"Buyers who are specific about what they are looking for, and not just looking to see every deal in {insert market here}.

Sellers who understand the need to properly price, present and market their listing, and work WITH the agent, vs. AGAINST the agent.

Pre-qualified buyers who have already been fully approved for a loan.

Just my two cents this AM!

A good resource for goal setting .... the process, not ideas is www.mindtools.com I highly recommend this site.  Once you go through the process you should more easily be able to come up with real goals that suite your needs/wants.

One thing about goals and manifestation..... be very clear!  My husband and I realized earlier in the year that we were in fact manifecting exactly what we asked for.... we just asked for things in the wrong way!  Example:  our goal and manifestion was financial abundance...... well, we got what we asked for.. nice fat paychecks.  What we weren't specific about was the fact that for all the money we were making we were accumulating more and more debt.  In the end, we were no better off.... we have now changed our goal to financial freedom..... this is much more suiting to what we actually desire.  We are already seeing the changes to our financial picture.....

Good luck on your goals!  Remember though, to actually acheive them they must be written and visible on a regular basis.  You should also make sure that there is a real 'WHY' behind them.... not just arbitrary goals.

I always encourage sellers to be pro-active in marketing their homes.  The wait-and-see approach to selling your home is long gone.  Sellers need to treat their home like a product on the shelf and do everything it takes to attract that buyer.

Good luck to you!
