Happy Earth Day! Today, April 22nd is a great reminder that we need to treat the earth each and every day with respect and admiration. This photo was taken by my daughter, Nicolette Clark in the hills of Tuscany, Italy.
Earth Day was started in 1970 as a day of education about environmental issues. It has now turned into a global holiday in which we celebrate mother nature while being aware of the effects we have on our environment.
Did you know that a highlight of the United Nations' Earth Day celebration in New York City is the ringing of the Peace Bell, a gift from Japan, at the exact moment of the vernal equinox.
