Lost Our Home Pet Foundation in Phoenix, Arizona, proudly announces the Grand Opening of their new facility in April 2012.

Founded in 2008, during the foreclosure crisis, Lost Our Home Pet Foundation, has taken in over 2,000 displaced pets and fed over 8000 more through their Pet Food Bank. This was accomplished through volunteers and donations and the goodness of the community and all without a permanent facility. Now, that has all changed...

According to Founder, Jodi Polanski, the new facility, located at 32nd Street and Shea Blvd. in Northeast Phoenix, will be able to accommodate better intake of pets rescued from foreclosed homes. There will also be a special place for their Pet Food Bank.

Lost Our Home Pet Foundation or LOHPF offers help in the following ways:

Food Bank: Providing pet food and essentials for those pets whose owners are facing foreclosure or financial hardship

Temporary Foster Program: Temporary placement for pets whose owners are being foreclosed upon or evicted

Pet Friendly Rental Program: Finding pet friendly rental properties for those owners facing financial distress

Rescue Assistance: For immediate assistance, CALL 602-230-4357

YOU CAN HELP in the following ways:

Foster: Aiding in re-home of those pets abandoned or neglected

Adopt: Giving a loving home to those pets left behind or neglected

Volunteer: Help is welcome from those of all ages, from staffing the pet food bank to assisting with pet intake

Donate: LOHPF relies solely upon the generosity of the Community in which it serves.

That is a good foundation.  A lot of families and their pets got separated in the mortgage melt down and the loss of job combo.

Good morning Nancy. What a wonderful idea and execution of that idea in your community. Do you volunteer there?

What a nicely done post!  The Lost Our Pet Foundation sounds like a very well-run organization helping, as you say, the silent victims.
