The Skull Coast Brewing Company, Inc. (“Skull Coast”), just announced that it will be setting up its brewing operations in the former “Hollar Hosiery Mill” in Hickory, North Carolina.
The Skull Coast Brewing Company will have a taproom, which will serve their fine ales and a few exclusive high-gravity offerings. Additionally, the Taproom will strive to provide in-season, local, Carolina, and regionally-grown produce, fish and meats to compliment the beer line-up.
The Skull Coast Brewing Company is going to become a “working lab” for home brewers looking to make the leap from the garage to the commercial brewing environment. Through a combination of course work and real life brewing experience, students will learn everything they need to begin brewing in some of the best breweries in the country.
The anticipated opening is late summer 2012.
