When The Time Comes To Euthanize Your Pet Consider a Veterinarian Who Will Visit You At Home In Delaware County PA.
If you are a pet owner chances are there may come the time when you have to make a decision to euthanize your beloved pet because letting them live is simply to painful for your pet and for you, as their beloved friend.
Putting a pet in a car and taking them to the Vet before you put them down can be very traumatic for you and your pet. So the option of having the Vet come to you and your pet in the comfort of your home can greatly reduce the stress of a very sad situation.
Last September I took Sunny my cat companion of 16 years to the Vet and found out she had an inoperable tumor. Sunny never liked visits to the Vet, yet she would always rebound once we got home. But after that visit she did not. She hid from me and was afraid of things that never bothered her before. It broke my heart. I vowed never to take her to the vet again. So I researched my options and found two Vets who would make house calls if I needed to put her down.
In early December the day came when I had to let Sunny go. The Vet came to my home with an assistant. Sunny was not stressed, she seemed to know they were coming since she came out of hiding and sat in her window perch. These two women were very compassionate. They worked with me; let me hold Sunny in my lap as she died. Then stayed for a little while to hear me share about Sunny.
Having a Veterinarian make a house call does cost more money, but for me it reduced the stress for Sunny and myself ten fold by keeping my vow to help her transition from this world in the comfort of our home.
