Hitchin' A Ride

Gloria and Doug:  What a great picture.  I can remember years ago, probably about fifty years ago, the last time I went water skying.  And of course, I remember when the song in the video first came out.  Fun from years gone by.

I am fairly sure that I remember that songs with the "sound" of this one, and many others of this tempo... were referred to as "Bubble Gum Music" in some of the trade magazines like Billboard and Cashbox... and by some of the radio DJ's, as well.

 We did para sailing in Jamaica but it was pretty scary at least until we were up in the air. Until it is over and then you say "Oh what fun, let's do it again". I like the old song as well. Happy Tuesday.

If I'm going to get physical exercise, I'd nearly always rather it have water involved with it.  I have water skied, and I swim laps, but I have never wind-surfed. . .I need to fix that one of these days!
