Motivational Power Quote

Our Lives Are Shaped by Our Habits

“Do something every day that you don’t want to do;

this is the golden rule for acquiring the habit of

doing your duty without pain.

John 17:4

As I see it . . . . . . .

Our lives are shaped by our habits.

The habit of doing a little more will shape our life for crating positive results.

Over our lifetime we form many habits, our positive habits becomes the foundation that we build our careers on. Our habits support the weight of our success journey. We come to rely on them in our decision making and in our actions.

We really don’t give our habits much thought they seem to a response mechanism to trigger our actions.

The habit of doing a little more than required is law of subtleaccumulation.

Each day as we do a little more it may not initially seem to have much impact but after a week you would have achieved a minimum of 7 more little achievements then would have done. After a month it would completed to over 30 more little things. In a year you would have achieved over 365 little accomplishments.

The law of subtle accumulation is working for you.

Our lives are shaped by our habits; the single habit of doing a little more each day will accumulate and make a massive difference in the pace and a direction of your career.

So true - some habits are good and some not so good. Examining the bad habits and changing them makes a big difference in our lives.

Hi Lou, Thanks for sharing this law of subtle accumulation. I can fully subscribe to it and think it can contribute greatly in our industry. It is sort of like excersise, a little greater strength increasing over time it enhances our total performance.

I totally agree that both our success and failures typically do not happen overnight, they were an accumulation of our good and bad habits over time.

Lou, a woman in a TED video somehwere around Christmas talked about Why don't you get what you want. She addressed setting your clock, then getting up a half hour earlier. Getting up a half hour earlier is pain, but the gain is huge in so many ways. Thanks for sharing/affirming this principle - the law of sutle accumulation!

Inch by inch, life is a cinch.

I like the idea of little accomplishments accumulating Lou.
