Visiting the 911 Memorial in Lower Manhattan NYC with Feng Shui consultant Laura Cerrano

911 Memorial for the Twin towers that fell on September 11th, 2001

For years the public argued with how to honor those who passed away on 9/11.  there is probably no right way to honor them, but acknowledging them how ever is the best way.  I visited the 9/11 memorial yesterday with friends and I have to say the memorial was done in a very tasteful way.

The artist was very much inspired by the Vietnam Memorial Wall which is located in Washington D.C.  The artist kept it the 9/11 Memorial neutral and straight to the point, engraving the names of the fallen along the boarder of the wall water falls

During the day, the memorial had a nice presence but at night with the lights turned on, it seems to be more at peace and much leave a much stronger statement.  Even if you have not personally lost a loved one during that tragic day, you can very much feel the sadness in that area of NYC.

I personally believe they should have a large blessing ceremony as help release those spirits who are stuck, because you know they are.  Being shocked out of your body like that is tragic.  Just a Feng Shui thought of the day.

The 9/11 Memorial also has a museum but that is not open to the public just yet.  There is no fee to visit the Memorial but they do have a suggested donation if you so choose.  It would also be wise to reserve a spot for this memorial is frequently visited by local residents and tourists from around the world.

When I saw the Vietnam memorial for the first time, I was overwhelmed with emotion...although I personally didn't know anyone who died there. the monument truly moved me to tears. Next time I'm in New York, my first destination would be the memorial. Thanks for posting.
