IS PAYING FOR A LIST OF REO AND BPO COMPANIES WORTH IT???

By
Real Estate Agent with EXCELLENCE EMPIRE RE

I HAVE SIGNED UP WITH MANY REO AND BPO COMPANIES THAT I HAVE FOUND DOING PLENTY OF RESEARCH USING SEARCH ENGINES.  I HAVE ALSO FOUND MANY WEBSITES THAT OFFER THIS LIST OF REO AND BPO COMPANIES, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THEY WOULD BE WORTH MY TIME AND MONEY.  DOES SOMEONE HAVE ANY FEEDBACK?????

If you are getting enough work, don't pay for anything.

I almost bought a list. But after research and networking with other agents I formulated my own list.  I am glad that I didn't buy a list.  I saved $50.00.

I might have been a fool, but I paid for a class that taught us how to do effective BPOS and included a list of companies, that most could have been found on the internet. Also gave us a certificate for Broker Price Opinion Specialist.  Included that info when applying to all the companies.  The teachers also are available for questions or just help trying to get on with some of the companies.  Since I had no experience doing BPOs.... for me getting a running start was important. I learned the ins and outs.  To do my first BPO it would have equaled $2 an hour, well almost.  At least the cost is tax deductible!! and i could not have learned all that on my own in 4 hrs by just researching.
