Let Go and Forget Your Past Mistakes

Motivational Power Quote

Let Go and Forget Your Past Mistakes

“Forget past mistakes. Forget failures, forget everything except what you’re going to do now and do it.”

William Durant 1861 – 1947, founder of General Motors

As I see it . . . . . . .

Let go and forget your past mistakes

We live in our thinking.

Focusing your thinking on your past mistakes is investing the valuable resources of your mind and time on negative conditions. Misusing your thinking will return no dividend or serve any constructive purpose.

Your time is flat out wasted and misdirected if you continues it will pull you away from achieving your goals and can destroy your attitude.

Focus on the present and what you can do today to create forward momentum that will keep you moving in the right direction and closer to your goals.

Let go of the past, let go of your past mistakes and failures and you will experience a weight being lifted off your shoulders and a clearer view for your future.

Your world is in front of you and it’s yours to grasp. Let go and forget your past mistakes and you will clear the rust out of your thinking and allow new thoughts and possibilities to enter into your life.

Lou...just posted something similar....Abe Lincoln...if he held on to his failures, would have remained in bed and never been president.....great words here!

Yes, failure is the best teacher.  The trick is to not let it stop you, just teach you.

Brilliant quote. So many people get bogged down by the past. As Durant said, there is nothing that you can do about the past. All we have is this moment and to look forward to the future.

The key is to keep trying even when you fail.  If you don't, the failure wins.

Mistakes help us learn what not do or how to do things better. We have to learn our lesson and move on, to dwell in the past is a waste because it is not going to change it.

Lou,  The past is gone, we need to learn from it.  The present is here and the future is ours if we are willing to work for it.
