Take a Creole Cottage in the Faubourg Marigny area of New Orleans that is blighted strip the house down to the studs, wrap the house with batting cage plastic and then fill the house with balls…loads of balls, four feet deep.
That is what one gentlemen who lives in the Marigny is doing. He found the owners of the blighted property, drove to visit them, discussed his idea and they agreed to let him move forward with his idea. Individuals will sign a waiver and dive in. The Cottage was about to fall down and the ball pit may bring more people to the block and a blighted property has been removed the street.
Now comes this story being posted by The Gambit and on their Facebook page and the comments. He is raising funds on his website Kickstarter and the minimum donation is $1.00 - in case anyone wants to help this dude out.
Gotta give this guy credit for thinking outside the box and actually doing something.
