Spring homebuying perserveres with optimism and an increased median list prices of homes for sale nationwide up 5.56 percent over the last year, according to Realtor.com data updated through March 2012. The spring to $189,900 brings the national median list price close to what it was two years ago.
Phoenix, Arizona Metro area leads the nation in recovery with whooping 23.5 percent soar over the last year to $179,000.In the peak of the market (summer of 2006), average list price was $267,000.
For all of my California clients. Santa Barbara has had increase of 15.95 percent in list price over the last year. Orange County and Los Angeles is experiencing list price declines of 4.42 % and 2.95%.
